Privacy Policy

This policy describes what information SnagSteals ("we", "us") collects when you use this website and our alert service, how we use it, and the choices you have. We aim to collect the minimum we need to run the service.

Information we collect

• Account information: your email address, and the sizes and favorite brands you choose to share during signup or on the waitlist.
• Your requests ("mandates"): the free-text shopping requests you create, and the structured version our system derives from them.
• Alert activity: which alerts we send you, whether you click them, and any feedback you give us (for example, "this deal wasn't useful").
• Technical data: standard web logs and, if you link Telegram, your Telegram chat ID so we can message you there.

How we use it

• To match products to your requests and send you deal alerts by email or Telegram.
• To sign you in (we use passwordless magic links — we never store a password).
• To measure whether alerts are useful and improve matching quality.

We do not sell or rent your personal information, and we do not share it with retailers or advertisers for their own marketing.

Service providers

We rely on a small number of providers to operate the service:

• Supabase (database and authentication) and Railway/Vercel (hosting).
• Resend (email delivery) and, optionally, Telegram (messaging).
• OpenAI (processing the text of your shopping requests to structure them — your email address is not included in that processing).
• Affiliate networks (such as Sovrn, Rakuten, and Impact) receive standard click data when you follow a deal link, as described in our Affiliate Disclosure.

Cookies

We use cookies and similar storage only to keep you signed in and to understand aggregate usage of the site. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.

Data retention and your choices

We keep your data while your account is active. You can pause or delete your requests at any time from your dashboard. To delete your account and associated personal data entirely, email hello@snagsteals.com and we will process the request promptly.

Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live (for example, under the California Consumer Privacy Act), you may have the right to know what personal information we hold about you, receive a copy of it, correct it, or have it deleted. We honor these requests for all users regardless of state: email hello@snagsteals.com and we will respond within 30 days. We do not sell or share your personal information as those terms are defined under U.S. state privacy laws, so there is nothing to opt out of.

Children

SnagSteals is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Changes
